Abstract

1417075 Treatment of organic isocyanates IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 27 Sept 1974 [31 Oct 1973] 50603/73 Heading C2C Coloured impurities in organic isocyanates and discoloration on storage of said isocyanates are reduced by treating the isocyanates in the liquid state with a molecular sieve. The molecular sieve is preferably in pelleted form. The isocyanates may be aliphatic, aromatic, cycloaliphatic and mixed aromatic/aliphatic mono- and poly-isocyanates.
