Abstract

1416271 Amino acid derivatives AKZO NV 8 Feb 1973 [22 Feb 1972] 6219/73 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] The succinimido ester of N-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)methionine S-oxide is prepared by esterifying N - (tert - butoxycarbonyl)methionine, obtained from methionine S-oxide; which is made by oxidizing L-methionine and separating the resulting diestereomeric mixture of S-oxides. N - (nitroarginyl) - [2 - (3-- indolyl)ethyl]- amine is prepared by hydrolysing N-[(N-tertbutoxycarbonyl)nitroarginyl] - [2 - (3 - indolyl) ethyl] - amine, resulting from the reaction between 3-(2-aminoethyl)indole and N-(tertbutoxycarbonyl)-nitroarginine. The succinimido esters of N-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)valine and N-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)- alanine are obtainedby esterifying the appropriate N-protected amino acids.
