1414589 Yohimbohydrazide derivatives SERDEX-SOC D'ETUDES DE RECHERCHES DE DIFFUSION E D'EXPLOITATION 17 May 1974 [18 May 1973] 22206/74 Addition to 1359260 Heading C2C Novel compounds I and their acid addition salts in which R is the group R<SP>1</SP>-CO-NH (where R<SP>1</SP> is alkyl or phenyl in which the phenyl radical is optionally mono- or di- or tri-substituted by halogen, hydroxy, alkoxy or mono- or di-alkylamino) are prepared by reacting an acid chloride R<SP>1</SP>-CO-Cl with yohimbic acid hydrazide. Compounds I prepared are those in which R<SP>1</SP> is methyl, 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoyl or 3,5-dimethoxy- 4-hydroxy-benzoyl. Compounds I have antihypertensive, cardiac and respiratory properties and form with a carrier a pharmaceutical composition which may be administered orally.
