Abstract
1413154 Pulse generators COMPAGNIE INDUSTRIELLE DES TELECOMMUNICATIONS CIT-ALCATEL 27 Nov 1972 [26 Nov 1971] 54719/72 Heading H3T A variable frequency pulse generator comprises a two-transistor bi-stable circuit triggered at each side by a respective circuit comprising a variable time constant circuit associated with a uni-junction transistor. As shown in Fig. 3 when transistor T1 of the bi-stable circuit T1, T2 is non-conducting a capacitor C1 charges up through a resistor R.E. 1 and at the peak point of a uni-junction transistor UJ1 discharges into the bi-stable circuit to change its state. The potential at the collector of T2 rises allowing the capacitor C2 to charge through resistor R2 and produce a pulse to restore the circuit and allow capacitor C1 to recharge. The resistors of the timing circuit may be adjusted together or differentially to control the frequency and mark-space ratio of the pulses.
