1411949 Controlling power supplied to loads LINDA TANTU WONG and CHOK YIT WONG 10 Oct 1972 [21 March 1972] 13060/72 Heading H2H A circuit for reducing the power supplied to a load such as a lamp 10 comprises a diode 7 and a switch which connects the diode in series with the load to supply half the power thereto or disconnects the diode to supply full power to the load. A smoothing capacitor is connected across the load which may be alternatively an electric fire, a drill or a fluorescent light. A contact 13 provides an off-position for the switch.
