Abstract

1410880 Powder distributing apparatus ETABS F DUMOULIN & CO 28 Dec 1973 [4 Jan 1973] 60067/73 Heading A2A An apparatus for the automatic distribution of a powdered product at the interior of the treatment trough of an apparatus for enrobing various articles such as food or pharmaceutical products comprises a distributor tube 2 which extends along the entire length of trough 1, the tube 2 being fixed so that the trough 1 can rotate about it. On at least part of its surface, the wall of the tube 2 is cut away and comprises a grille material or perforated sheet 3 behind which is a movable shutter 4 in the form of an incurved strip. The distributor encloses an Archimedean screw 5, which is driven by motor 5a. The screw 5 which drives the powder in the direction of the arrow F, comprises a rotary shaft 6 almost about which there is provided a metallic strip 7 of helicoidal shape which carries on its circumference a brush 8 bearing against the wall of the distributor. A recycling conduit 14 is also provided.
