1410734 Disinfecting composition for linen ROHM GmbH 1 June 1973 [2 June 1972] 26332/73 Heading A5E [Also in Division Dl] Linen is bleached and/or disinfected by immersion in aqueous hypochlorite, heating to a temperature below 50‹C to consume a portion of the hyprochlorite, adding a compound of formula wherein R is H or C1-20 alkyl, R 2 is H or CH 3 in an amount to form a compund of formula wherein R 3 is chlorine, adding an H 2 O 2 -forming compound and heating to a temperature above 50 ‹C. The hypochlorite may be sodium hypochlorite. The H 2 O 2 -forming compound may be a percarbonate or sodium perborate.
