Abstract

1409289 Dentifrice UNILEVER LTD 20 Dec 1972 [20 Dec 1971] 58725/72 Heading A5B A toothpaste having a pH of 5.5 to 8 and containing chloroform and a silicic xerogel or aerogel is prevented from corroding aluminium tubes by inclusion of a water-soluble inorganic compound containing a phosphoruscontaining ion and oxygen. Ingredients specified include: sodium aluminium phosphate, disodium dihydrogen pyrophosphate, sodium orthophosphate (optionally mixed with phosphoric acid), sodium phosphite, sodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, butyl hydroxyanisole, propylene glycol, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, saccharin, sodium benzoate, colouring, flavouring, 2, 2'-methylenehis(3, 4, 6-trichlorobenzene), sodium lauryl sulphate, chlorophyllin, hexachlorophene, sodium dodecyl sulphate and water.
