Abstract

1407165 Rolling gears KOMBINAT UMFORMTECHNIK ERFURT VEB 8 Feb 1973 6254/73 Heading B3M Apparatus for fine rolling a partly finished gear wheel comprises two tools 3, 4 carried on relatively movable tool carrier assemblies 2, 6, and a movable workpiece support arrangement 1 for supporting the partly finished gear wheel 5 between the tools, the arrangement 1 being clamped between the tool carrier assemblies when the tools are spaced a predetermined distance apart. In the embodiment shown, the lower tool carrier 6 is fixed, and the upper carrier 2 is moved downwardly to press each tool into engagement with the gear 5. The minimum tool spacing is set by adjustable steps 7, 8 on the gear carrier 1 and 9, 10 on the tool carriers.
