Abstract

1404838 Intruder alarms S MATSUDA 2 Aug 1972 36174/72 Heading G4N Detection of an intruder is effected by a radiation element 4 whose impedance is varied by the proximity of the intruder, the element being coupled to an oscillator 1 so as to vary the oscillator output frequency and actuate an alarm via an amplifier 2. The outputs from a number of detector units are combined in a unit 6, the output from which operates a relay 10 via a delay 8. Relay 10 may directly operate an alarm, or alteratively a predetermined number of actuations of relay 10 may operate a further timer 9 which in turn actuates an alarm relay 11. Each detector 21 ... 21n may be associated with a TV camera 20 ... 20n, Fig. 6, and a switching arrangement 24 ... 24n which connects the camera associated with an activated detector to a monitor display 22 and/or a video recorder 23.
