1404763 Kitchen cabinets BERRY FURNITURE Ltd 24 Oct 1972 [11 Oct 1971] 47182/71 Heading A4H A kitchen cabinet has at least one sliding top 9 which is spring biased to a forwardly projecting position and is held in its retracted position by a releasable catch. The top 9 slides on runners 14 15, and 16 secured respectively to the top 9 and to a fixed top 10 of the cabinet. The biasing is effected by tension springs 18 secured at its respective ends to the sliding top 9 and the fixed top 10. Stops (12, 13) Fig. 1 (not shown), limit the outward displacement of the top 9. Interengagement of detents 24, 25 of the catch is released by manual displacement of a U-shaped strip 19 against the action of a compression spring 27.
