1404319 Selective signalling DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 24 Nov 1972 [25 Nov 1971] 54812/71 Heading G4H In data signal switching control apparatus, a plurality of gate circuits in respective data input lines are selectively opened by a decoder controlled by a pulse-driven counter, there being a data store presenting one of a sequence of predetermined label words each with an associated predetermined reset word, equality between the count and the presented label word causing the counter to be preset in accordance with the presented reset word and the next label word and reset word to be presented by the store. The gates pass analogue voltages representing, e.g. temperature, pressure, from transducers, to a common A/D converter the output of which is stored in a buffer, as are signals from digital transducers, the buffered values being recorded on a multi-track tape, which also pre-loads the data store holding label and preset words and provides timing signals for the system, e.g. to drive the counter.
