1403660 Electrophoretic coating compositions BAYER AG 4 July 1973 [5 July 1972] 31811/73 Heading C3P Aqueous anionic electrophoretic lacquer compositions containing as the binder an unsaturated polymeric material containing carboxyl groups which are at least partially neutralized, also contain 2,2<SP>1</SP>-methylene-bis-(4-methyl-6-tert.- butylphenol), e.g. in an amount of 0À01-0À1 wt. per cent. In an example the binder used is one obtained by reacting cis-1,4-polybutadiene with soya oil, then with maleic anhydride and then with ethylene glycol monobutyl ether. This final product is diluted with further ethylene glycol monobutyl ether and is formed into a lacquer composition with triethylamine (for neutralization), the above phenol, TiO 2 , aluminium silicate, carbon black and water.
