Abstract

1403345 Stabilized polymers CIBA-GEIGY AG 11 June 1973 [12 June 1972] 27605/73 Heading C3R [Also in Division C2] Polymeric materials, e.g. polyamides, polypropylene, PVC and polyurethanes are stabilized against thermooxidative degradation by incorporation of a compound of formula where R<SP>1</SP> is C 1-8 alkyl, C 6-8 cycloalkyl or C 7-9 aralkyl; R<SP>2</SP> is hydrogen C 1-5 alkyl, C 6-8 cycloalkyl or C 7-9 aralkyl; R<SP>3</SP>, R<SP>4</SP>, R<SP>6</SP> and R<SP>6</SP> are hydrogen, methyl or a group (A) ; R<SP>7</SP> is hydrogen, C 1-17 alkyl, halomethyl, phenyl or a group (A) and X is -O- or -S-. The compounds of the invention may be used in conjunction with other conventional polymer additives.
