Abstract

Stationary batch mixers with rotary stirrers.- A beater or stirrer for an extractor used in benzine washing and degreasing plant has an L-shaped pivoted outer part B the arm of which is connected to the main part A of the stirrer by a spring I. This construction enables the part B to yield and prevent damage should an obstruction become wedged between the stirrer and the shell of the container.
