Abstract
1398987 Vehicle roofs SEBIA SA HOLDING 5 June 1972 [24 Jan 1972] 26095/72 Heading B7B [Also in Division F2] A self-sustaining double-walled roof for a motor bus has specially shaped longitudinals 2 extending downwardly from the roof edges which are adapted to be fitted to an upper side wall portion of the bus. Each longitudinal 2 has a wall portion 29, with portions 35, 37 at right angles thereto, by which it is welded to the roof cladding 28, 39 and convex cross members (3- 13) (Fig. 1, not shown) which extend between the longitudinals. Convex and flat portions 38, 36 extending from 35, 37 respectively are connected by a portion 30, adapted for direct welding to the upper girder 34 of a side wall. The roof may be packed with sound insulator 40, and have internal longitudinal and transverse members (14-27) interconnecting the convex cross members (3-13).
