Abstract

1398042 Slotted sieve centrifuge basket assembly HEIN, LEHMANN AG and KRAUSS-MAFFEI AG 11 June 1973 [9 June 1972] 2-7602/73 Heading BID A centrifuge basket assembly has a cylindrical or frusto-conical sieve basket having rods 3 of triangular or trapezoidal section which are set in slots between teeth in toothed plastic rings 1 and 2 and may be cemented in place. The sieve basket is bolted into an outer support basket 8 at 1 and retained immovably by pin 10 in groove 11. Resilient ring 13 may clamp the lower ends of rods 3 against support basket flange 14. The rods may be of metal, fibreglass reinforced elastomer, plastics material or ceramics and are of a section and have gaps between them which may be regular or varied along their length, the gaps being generally wider at the top.
