Abstract

1397340 Sheet collator C P BOURG 5 Dec 1972 [7 Dec 1971 28 Nov 1972] 56125/72 Heading B8R A sheet collator comprises a series of pile holding pockets 3, a series of sheet ejecting rollers 15 and a series of sheet feed roller pairs 4 and 5. The roller pairs are connected for common drive and the ejecting rollers are connected to said drive through selectively operable clutches such that they may be operated in sequence as a batch of sheets being collated proceeds along the transport path between the roller pairs 4 and 5. The clutches may be operated such that as a batch LB nears completion, Fig. 10, a further batch LC is commenced.
