1397220 Microbicidal aliphatic polyamines TH GOLDSCHMIDT AG 27 Dec 1973 [27 Dec 1972] 59854/73 Heading C2C Novel microbicidal compounds of formula where R is a hydrogen atom or a C 8-18 alkyl radical with at least one R radical being such an alkyl radical are made by reacting tetrapropylene pentamine with one or more C 8-18 alkyl halides in a molar ratio of 4 : 1 to 1 : 4 at a temperature of 100-160‹ C. in the presence of an acid acceptor. Microbidical preparations are made by compounding the novel amines with the usual additives.
