1397217 Extrusion calendering HERMANN BERSTORFF MASCHINENBAU GmbH 5 Nov 1973 [6 Nov 1972] 51305/73 Heading B5A To prevent turbulent flow in thermoplastic rubber material fed to a callender (not shown) by an extrusion die 13a due to return flow between the calender rolls, the die extends to the narrowest part of the gap between the rolls and has a plurality of outlets 9 from which guide surfaces 14, 15 diverge and connect with those of adjacent orifices at the front edge 16. The total area of the orifices is equal to the crosssectional area of the narrowest part of the roll gap.
