Abstract

1396552 Scaffold trestles M M MOULTON 5 May 1972 [2 Fob 1972] 48884/73 Divided out of 1396551 Heading E1S A box-like unit for building up a scaffold trestle comprises a hollow body of plastics material having a closed top 21 and an open base and downwardly divergent side walls 20, with pivotally mounted members 22 in at least two of the side walls, whereby when the pivoted members 22 are retracted out of the unit a further such unit may be nested therein, whilst when the pivoted members are moved through apertures in the side walls into the unit they are engageable with the top of a further such unit to support the first unit thereon. The members 22, e.g. wedge-shaped flaps, may be pivotally mounted at their top, side or base, and may have a holding catch, and may have rims 26, 28 to limit movement. The unit is rectangular in plan view.
