Abstract

1396490 Tape measures G A THERIOT 20 June 1973 [22 June 1972] 29279/73 Heading G1M A co-ordinate measuring device comprises structures 16, 17 releasably holding by means of top screws a pair of encased tape measures 12, 13 arranged so that the tapes extend at right angles to one another. A pin such as 23, Fig. 5, is located in an aperture in the tape measure case and the screw 21 as well as locating the case 13 may be screwed down tighter to hold the tape against the pin 23 in a desired extended position. A slot in the centre of the base may be used to position the device over say a switch on a wall, and attachment 40, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown) may be used to centre the device over the end of a conduit.
