Abstract

1396013 Race track edging STEINER SILIDUR AG 13 July 1972 [19 July 1971] 32751/72 Heading A6D Edging for a sports track comprises a plurality of sections 7 each of which is adapted to be detachably connected to the surface of the track at at least two places so as to leave a space 12 between the sections 7 and the track, for drainage of water. Each section 7 comprises a pipe 9 and a covering of soft material 8 and has attached thereto, spaced apart inverted U-section rail pieces 11. Magnets 10 are housed in the pipes 9 and the pieces 11 and co-operate with magnetic base members 3 secured at appropriate spaced intervals to the track surface 2. The pieces 11 fit over the members 3 to prevent lateral displacement.
