Abstract

1395344 Light guides CRESWORTH Ltd 18 April 1973 [31 May 1972] 25516/72 Heading G2J An optical fibre for a display device comprises a core of high refractive index surrounded by a thin coating of low refractive index which at one or more places along the length of the fibre is missing to provide windows for the emission of light. The fibres may be bunched together at one or both ends, see Fig (not shown) and the free ends of those fibres bunched only at one end may carry transparent bobbles or beads.
