1395307 Lithium ferrites AMPEX CORP 3 Sept 1973 [14 Sept 1972] 41389/73 Heading C1J A ferrite has the formula wherein R is one or more ferrite-forming metals other than Li, Nb and Fe, a and c are each greater than zero, b is zero or greater than zero a + b + c + x = 3, a + n6 + 5x + 3c = 8 and x is from 0À005 to 0À015. Examples 1-5 describe the preparation of Li 0À51 Nb 0À01 Fe 2À48 O 4 , Li 0À48 Ni 0À06 Nb 0À01 Fe 2À45 O 4À00 , Li 0À41 Co 0À02 Ni 0À06 - Zn 0À12 Nb 0À01 Fe 2À38 O 4À00 , Li 0À38 Co 0À025 Ni 0À075 Zn 0À16 - Nb 0À01 Fe 2À35 O 4À00 , and Li 0À31 Co 0À03 Ni 0À07 Zn 0À27 - Cu 0À03 Nb 0À01 Fe 2À28 O 4À00 . The ferrites may be used in memory cores.
