Abstract

1394550 Casting mould FIBER GLASSEVEKCOAT CO Inc 27 Dec 1973 59857/73 Heading B5A In a mould of plastics material comprising two mould sections 8, 10 at least one of which has a mould cavity and a filling gate, each mould section 8 has a peripheral planar flange 26 which engages the flange 24 of the other portion 10, and the sections are releasably held together by co-operating clamping elements, e.g. loops 30 and lugs 38, carried by the mould sections and made of the same plastics material. The mould may be for plaster, gelatine or a comestible, but as shown is for a wax candle having a wick 22 which is located at its lower end in a groove 46, Fig. 2, or a hole W, Fig. 6, and at its upper end by pegs L. The loops 30 have struts 34 which snap over the domed ends 40 of the lugs 38. A peripheral rib 26 on one mould section engages a groove 28 in the other.
