Abstract

1394435 Dressmaking forms A E ARTHUR Ltd 3 Sept 1973 [7 Sept 1972 9 Feb 1972] 41558/72 and 6615/73 Heading G5G A dressmaking form (Fig. 1, not shown), comprises adjustable body sections 1, 2 bridged by connectors each constituted by relatively slidable members 8, 9 having a pin and slot connection with means 13 for locking the pin 11 of part 9 at a set position along the length of the slot 12 of the other part 6, one of the sections being formed with a window 7 through which appear individually different measurements 8 indicated on member 9, to which an associated body part, e.g. bust, hip, or waist measurement, can be set as the slidable members are adjusted. As shown, the window is constituted by an eyelet which secures the part 6 to its associated body section. In a modification, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), the pin is constituted by a spring- biased push button, and the relatively slidable members are positively located in their set positions by pegs which engage holes provided in the members.
