Abstract

1393107 Counters SEIKO KOKI KK 13 Nov 1972 [18 Nov 1971] 52336/72 Heading G4D [Also in Divisions F2 G3 and H1] An adjustment member 20, Fig. 2, can be displaced upwardly or downwardly from the datum position shown to advance a respective one of wheels 14, 15. As shown in Fig. 1 there are three pairs of wheels 14, 15 forming time indicating and setting wheels of a digital alarm clock or time switch. The member 20 is made of resilient plastics and pivoted at 21; limbs 24 embrace a fixed pin 25 to provide a bias to the datum position. A projecting head 22a is used to move the member against the bias so that a pawl 30 or 31 advances a ratchet wheel 32 or 34 fixed to a wheel 14 or 15. The member 20 may alternatively move a wheel on a return stroke. A bell is sounded or a switch closed when the wheels 14 indicate the same time as the setting wheels 15. The bias on the adjustment member may alternatively be provided by a tension spring (63, Fig. 3, not shown) or by the engagement of projections (66, 68, Fig. 4 not shown) on the resilient pawl arms with the rear of front plate 11.
