Bungs.-An air-tight bung for a cask, barrel, &c. comprises an outer part a adapted to receive a screw e engaged by a dished nut d in such a manner that rotation of the screw e compresses a rubber block c bearing against a dished member g and subjects same to a central expansion which applies it against the operating screw. The nut d is held against rotation by a pin h, which is fixed to the part a and passes loosely through holes in the parts g, c, d. The screw e is provided with pins e<3>, e<4> arranged to keep the parts in correct relative position. The screw e is turned by a wrench, which also serves as a prising-tool for removing the bung from the cask &c.
