1391127 N - (2 - Cyanoethyl)cyclohexylamines BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODAFABRIK AG 10 Aug 1972 [11 Aug 1971] 37335/72 Heading C2C N - (2 - Cyanoethyl) - cyclohexylamine and its derivative bearing an alkyl group attached to a carbon atom in the cyclohexane ring are prepared by reacting cyclohexylamine or an alkyicyclohexylamine with acrylonitrile at elevated temperature in the presence of a catalytic amount of acetic acid. Preferred starting materials are ..cyclohexylamine, 2-methylcyclohexylamine, 4-isopropylcyclohexylamine and 4-nonylcyclohexylamine.
