Abstract

1389427 Fracture fixation devices D GALLUCCIO 2 Nov 1972 [12 Nov 1971] 50638/72 Heading A5R [Also in Division F2] A nail for use in treating bone fractures has a smooth cylindrical shank 14 with a tip 15 of triangular form, and a smooth cylindrical head 16 having a larger diameter than the shank 14 and being joined thereto by a frustoconical portion 17. The head is smoothly rounded and corner-free. The nail has an overall length of between 3 and 20cm, and a shank diameter of between 1 and 4mm.
