Abstract

138,712. Mathy, M. Feb. 21, 1919. Ingot tracks.-In slide track for an ingot-heating furnace, of the kind consisting of two concentric pipes through the inner of which cooling- water is supplied to the end of the track, the return flow taking place through the space between the pipes, baffles 3 are fitted to deflect the return flow to the upper part of the outer pipe, which is most exposed to the heat. If the outer pipe 1 is mounted so that it can be rotated to expose a fresh wearing surface, the baffles 3 act as guides.
