1386831 Bending tools; shearing G E OFFENSTADT 6 March 1972 [31 March 1971] 10410/72 Headings B3E and B3W A bending or shearing press comprises a plurality of bending dies and/or cutting blades mounted for rotation about a horizontal shaft, and means to lock the shaft in a predertermined angular position. In the Fig., a shaft 8 is journalled in the end frames of a combined bending and shearing press, and has four radial supports 10 each having a cutting blade or bending tool, e.g. to co-operate with a counter die 29 on a hydraulically movable table 2. The shaft is rotatable by an electric motor and worm gear, and lockable in the required orientations by a solenoid controlled finger.
