Abstract

1385271 Cellular articles INDUSTRIE PIRELLI SpA 17 Jan 1973 [21 Jan 1972] 2353/73 Heading B5A Cellular articles are formed from elastomeric or plastomeric materials which foam on heating by completely filling a mould cavity therewith, increasing the volume of the cavity by externally applied mechanical means and applying heat so as to induce an increase in the volume of the material substantially equal to that imparted to the cavity. The mould may be completely filled by injection or transfer moulding. The volume of the cavity may reach its final value before commencement of foaming or foaming may be effected progressively simultaneously with the increase in cavity volume.
