Abstract

1384710 Vehicle washing KONE-LAMMINEN KY 10 Jan 1972 [11 Jan 1971] 984/72 Heading B7J [Also in Division G3] In a vehicle washing machine of the type having two vertical side brushes and a horizontal top brush, the power in brush driving motors is sensed. If the power lies outside preset limits, the longitudinal back and forth motion of the machine is stopped and a relay causes the brushes to be moved towards or away from the car surface until the power lies within the limits. The machine thus follows the car outline with substantially constant brush pressure. The brush suspension and driving arrangements are described, Figs. 7, 8, 12 (not shown).
