Abstract

1382848 Rolling gear teeth IFA GETRJEBEWERKE BRANDENBURG VEB 31 May 1972 25514/72 Heading B3M The edges of the teeth on a workpiece such as a gear-wheel 2 are chamfered by pushing the gear-wheel through a housing 4 containing balls 3 which roll the edges of the teeth. The housing need not be circular and can, for example, be adapted for rolling chamfers on the teeth of a rack bar. The balls are freely rotatably retained in a cage 4.
