Abstract

1380521 Resistance heater KONINKLIJKE EMBALLAGE INDUSTRIE VAN LEER BV 9 Jan 1973 [11 Jan 1972] 1091/73 Heading H5H [Also in Division B8] A thermoplastic lid 3 has a reversed channelshaped edge 4 with a peripheral strip at its lower edge of a thickness of less than 1 mm. by means of which it is welded to a thermoplastic container 1. The welding is performed by means of a circular clamping device 5 having a heating element whose operative surface 6 has a coating 7 which prevents it from adhering to the lid. In a modification, the heating element is a nickel chromium strip (8) having on its back a watercooled annular chamber (9).
