Transverse beams B of inverted T-section are employed between the slabs and spanning between beams A, with cover strips H covering the ducts D and G formed above beams A and B respectively. Ducts T with lower apertures T 1 may be provided for lacking ventilation and air conditioning purposes, extraction holes A 4 being formed in beams A adjacent light fittings V over which the air passes. Ducts T may be omitted and air supplied or extracted via the spaces S, using holes A 4 in one or each leg of each beam A. Services can be carried in ducts G. and D.
