1378978 Radiation cross-linking of ethylene polymers SNAM PROGETTI SpA 22 Nov 1972 [26 Nov 1971] 54100/72 Heading C3P Cross-linked ethylene polymers are obtained by irradiating with gamma rays a copolymer of ethylene and a minor amount (e.g. up to 5% by weight), of butadiene. The cross-linked products are useful as insulations for electric cables. Polymers with improved impact resistance and stress cracking resistance can be obtained by partial cross-linking.
