Abstract

1378766 Packaging batteries PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 2 Dec 1971 [5 Dec 1970] 55982/71 Heading B8C A package comprises substantially identical cylindrical electric batteries disposed in contiguous relationship with their bases fitting between locating projections on a generally rectangular supporting plate and covered with a shrunken film of plastics. As shown, a support plate 1 of expanded polystyrene is formed with shaped projections 5 for holding electric batteries 11 which are then covered with a foil 25 which is shrunk over the assembly to cover two opposite sides only of the plate 1.
