Abstract
1376576 Anti-skid braking systems KNORRBREMSE GmbH 28 March 1973 [30 March 1972] 15008/73 Heading F2F The control circuit of a vehicle anti-skid braking system comprises first and second capacitances C 1 , C 2 for connection to be charged from an input voltage dependent on wheel speed, discharge regulating means connected to the said capacitances to provide first and second maximum discharge rates respectively of which the first rate is greater than the second rate, differentiating circuitry 16 connected across the first capacitance to differentiate the voltage, means 17 to provide a comparison signal in dependence upon difference between the respective voltages across the capacitances, a first switch means 18 providing a first control signal if the input voltage decreases faster than the first rate, and a second switch 19 controlled by the comparison circuitry to provide a second brake control signal faster than the second rate but not as fast as the first rate. A wheel-driven generator 11 supplies an alternating voltage which is supplied to a rectifier circuit 12 connected to three capacitive discharge circuits 13, 14, 15. Circuit 13 is connected to a differentiator 16 and to a comparator 17, circuit 14 also being connected to the latter whose output is in turn fed to a switching amplifier 19 the outputs of amplifier 19 and a switching amplifier 18, connected to circuit 16, being supplied to an OR gate 20 to trigger a circuit 21 which controls release of the brakes.
