Abstract

1376275 Vehicle lift A S HUNTER 2 May 1973 [24 May 1972] 20892/73 Heading B8H Vehicle lift comprises a frame with a pair of wheel support tracks 14 and a base formed in two sections 5, 6 which meet at an obtuse angle or a pivot point 7. In operation a vehicle is driven up the tracks 14 where upon the frame pivots about the point 7. Shock absorbers 9 are provided on opposite sides of the pivot point to engage the ground before the associated base engages the ground. Slidable platforms 10 are positioned over the portion 6 upon which jacks may be placed to lift the vehicle off of the tracks. Further platforms (12), Fig. 2 (not shown), are releasably secured to the frame to provide access for mechanics.
