1375458 Activated sludge plant; settling DEGREMONT SOC GENERALE D'EPURATION ET D'ASSAINISSEMENT 25 Sept 1972 [28 Sept 1971] 44187/72 Heading BID [Also in Division C1] In an activated sludge plant comprising an aeration section a and a settling section b a set of parallel inclined plates 13 substantially cover the surface area of section b. The plates may be flat or corrugated and may be inclined at an angle of 45‹ to 70‹ to the horizontal. The aeration section a is provided with sewage inlet 10 and diffusers 11.
