Abstract

137,523. Chosson, J. B. April 22, 1914, [Convention date]. Food-warming stoves; hot closets.-A portable waiting table, to enable dishes to be served hot and on hot plates within reach of the hand in hotel and other large dining rooms, comprises a top which may be opened out or covered in, and ovens arranged beneath it and heated by hot water and steam. The water in the hollow casing H of the lower oven is heated by a lamp L supported on a base provided with wheels N. Plates may be warmed in this oven and in a sliding oven G arranged below the table top which is provided with a carving-plate and dishes for vegetables &c. The top has flaps d which can be turned either horizontal or vertical and have grooves to support and guide flexible covers a which can be extended as shown in Fig. 1 or rolled up in casings f as in Fig. 3.
