Abstract

1374086 Valves; change speed gearing KOMATSU SEISAKUSHO KK 29 Oct 1971 [30 Oct 1970] 50449/71 Headings F2V and F2D A valve 1 for use as an inching valve in an hydraulic circuit controlling clutches 30-33 in a transmission 34 comprises a chamber 3 having an enlarged end 3a and provided with annular grooves 4-6 associated with ports 7-9. A first spool 10 has an annular groove 11 and fits by a socket 12 on a pin 14 and an aperture 16 connects the groove 11 to the socket 12. A second spool 17 in the enlarged part 3a has a spring 19 connecting its recess 18 with a recess 13 of the first spool and can be actuated by a inching pedal 20. In the unactuated position shown an inlet port 8 connects pressure fluid from a pump PF via the groove 11 to the port 7 connected by a conduit 23 through a speed valve 24 and directional valve 29 to control clutch cylinders 30-31. The conduit 23 also having connected thereto a modulating valve 27 and a quick return valve 28. Depression of the pedal 20 first moves the spools 17, 10 to the right to open the port 9 thus reducing the pressure to the port 7 and then on further movement to cut off the port 7 completely.
