Abstract
1373351 Sulphur trioxide; bioxidation of sulphur dioxide MONSANTO Ltd 16 Feb 1972 [17 March 1971] 7110/71 Heading C1A [Also in Division B1] Sulphur trioxide is produced by the vapour phase oxidation of sulphur dioxide with oxygen over one or more beds of catalyst tablets, the tablets containing vanadium pentoxide and having two circular faces, at least one of which carries one or more protuberances or recesses, the tablets being symmetrical about an axis passing through the centres of the circular faces.
