1373207 Oven for oriental bread PCP FORSCHUNGS-UND VERWALTUNGS-ANSTALT 14 May 1973 [16 May 1972] 22875/73 Heading A2A A tunnel-type baking oven for baking oriental bread comprises an endless conveyor 1, which consists of a number of flat plates of a metal having a thermal capacity such as will ensure a sufficient transmission of heat from the plates to the loaves as well as an adequate reheating of the plates during the return run of the conveyor, such as solid cast iron, carried by links of endless chains which cooperate with chain wheels 5. The loaves 26 to be baked are supplied by conveyor 20 to conveyor 1 and pass into the heating zone through the space between the head parts 8 and 11. The loaves are gradually baked and finally pass through a space between head parts 7 and 10 at a position adjacent to the outlet end of the tunnel where they are exposed to infra-red radiation. The baked loaves 27 drop on to conveyor 21, from which they are then collected.
