Abstract

1372263 Lampshades W COLLINS 7 Dec 1971 56874/71 Heading F4B A lampshade comprises a number of sets of two or more flexible translucent sheets 11 each bent into a convex form having a pair of parallel straight edges, wherein the sets are assembled in circular form with the sheets of each set individually mounted on a common pair of wire rings 12 each disposed adjacent a respective convexly curved edge of the sheets, with the convexly curved surfaces of the sheets facing outwardly and with the outermost sheets of adjacent sets in contact with each other. As shown in Fig. 2, keyhole slots 13 are formed adjacent opposite ends of the parallel straight edges of the sheets to facilitate threading thereof on the wires 12. In the embodiment shown, each set comprises three sheets superimposed but spaced from each other and the sheets nearest the wire rings may be apertured. A suitable material for the sheets is polyvinyl chloride.
