1372047 Switch contacts SIEMENS AG 4 Oct 1971 [30 Oct 1970] 46026/71 Heading H1N It is stated that the direction of material migration from a palladium-copper alloy used as contact material is determined by the copper content of the alloy. A contact system is claimed wherein a contact carrier of material exhibiting a specific direction of material migration has applied thereto a layer of palladiumcopper alloy exhibiting an opposite direction of material migration, the thickness of the said layer being so small that removal of material therefrom cannot produce any significant craters or high spots, and the copper content of the alloy being selected in accordance with a stated schedule. The carrier material is preferably copper. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,000,478.
