Abstract

1371575 Bolts, nuts WILHELM LAYHER GmbH 19 June 1972 [30 July 1971] 28599/72 Heading F2H [Also in Division E1] A screw-threaded bolt comprises a cylindrical rolled steel spindle 1 attached at one end to a plate 6, the screw-thread being formed by a helical bead 3 which is interrupted in two diametrically opposed longitudinally extending surface regions 2 of the spindle and is formed during the rolling of the spindle. The bead width C is considerably less than the pitch B, the bead is trapezoidal in section, and the bead portions merge tangentially into the surface regions 2. A complementary nut 11 is formed with an internal screw-thread 12 complementary to the bead 3, and may also have formed in the wall of its bore a longitudinal groove parallel to its axis or an annular groove perpendicular to its axis.
